Registering Web Dispatcher in SAP Marketplace and applying permanent license

Hi folks,

We have a web dispatcher installed in a separate server. Does anyone know how we can register this in the SAP Service Marketplace, and apply a permanent license?

Hi Charissma,

No license needs to be applied for using SAP Web Dispatcher.

Thanks for the swift response and for clarifying the 'license' issue. On a related note, may I know how can we register the web dispatcher in the marketplace? How can the SAP Support engineers be able to access it if it is not registered in the marketplace?

Hi Charissma,

SAP Web Dispatcher is cannot be used alone. It has to be coupled with either an ABAP and JAVA system within the landscape. In case you are using SAP Web Dispatcher for CRM system, You need to add a Windows/ Unix ( Other servers) within CRM System data Maintainence on SAP Service Marketplace.

Will the web dispatcher qualify as the other server as seen in the screenshot below?

Hi Charissma,

You may either go with "Other server" option from the list. It should be ok. In Description you may mention appropriate details for proper identification.
