hi,
when creating a quotation with respect to inquiry. we get a warning message that "reference inquiry, the validity has expired". this is because on the day of creating quotation wr.t. inquiry, the inquiry validity date has expired, however users presses enter and is able to make the quotation
i want to convert the above warning message into an error message so that the user is not able to create the quotation at all.
how to do that.
regards
sachin
Hi,
Pls find out the Message number from the error/warning message. Then go into OVAH where you can control the message - Warning or Error. If you are unable to locate the message 3 in OVAH, pls take the help of your ABAP to change it.
Hope, this helps!

Hi,
You can take the help of your abaper to do this. He can debug the program and understand where exactly it is throwing the warning message. At that point instead of the warning message type he can replace that with a " /E " error message type. Now, if the user tries to do this, instead of a warnig he would get an error and cannot proceed further.
Hope it helps. Please reward if useful.
Thanks & Regards
