Hi,

Could some body help me get rid out of this error in our PI system??

MDM Adapter listener could not start due to: Can not create repository session '[server=10.0.45.233 serverUser=Admin repository=SRM_MDM_CATALOG user=Admin]' caused by: The specified MDM repository was not found on the server (0xffab4147)

Hi Kiran,

It means the MDM Repository credentials are not correctly configured in MDM Adapter. Re check the below parameters in channel:

MDM Server :

MDM Repository :

Port Code :

Problem resolved

we have changed database parameter name from IP address to Hostname in PI channels

DBMS parameter was not taking IP address but it accepts Hostname.

now it works fine.

Hi Kiran,

Please share your MDM communication channel details with MDM team and get it checked.

the error shows your channel connection parameters are not correct.

you can also check if mdm server is running and repository is loaded.

With reference to your issue, there are few probabilities..

> DBMS Server parameters are incorrect. Ask MDM team to provide correct DBMS parameters and configure accordingly.

> Check the Inbound Port, if its set "Automatic".

> If you felt that everything is fine, Re-create CC once again.

> Different SP levels of PI and MDM may be the issue.

Hello Kiran,

Check with the MDM team if the MDM repository you conigured in the channel is the same which is configured

on the MDM server or if it really exisit on the configured MDM server.

As per the error it seems that your channel is able to connect to the MDM server but not table to get to the repository. Also cross verify the port name with your MDM team.
