I have the same problem. The NWDS download servers have been slow and unreliable for months. Sometimes I need to try five times over multiple days until I can download NWDS without the download just stopping after some time. The worst thing is that the download can't even be resumed. SAP should really do something about this.
There might be something I'm not understanding but the only official way to download files from SAP, as far as I know, is to use Software Downloads on the SAP Service Marketplace. Use alias /swdc to access it.
Yes, you're right, but for some reason I cannot find NWDS 7.3 and 7.31 in the Marketplace. Other versions are there... I would like to use the SAP Download Manager to avoid these issues.
Have you tried the DVD Update Site method discussed in chapter 2.2 of the installation guide? I concur, the 7.3x archives don't seem to be available on SMP.
