Account reassignment of invoices

Hello Experts,

we try to reassign the account assignment of invoices (valuetype 54). Therefore we use the transaction FMCG with a derivation strategy defined in FMYCR. The account reassignment is possible for the commitment item and the fundscenter. Unfortunately not for the fields fund and functional area.

We have New GL activated and splitting characteristics on fund and functional area.

Do any of you know whether it is possible to reassign the invoices (for fields commitment iten/funds center/fund/functional area) and how this should be done?

Kind regards,

Niels de Korte

Hi Niels,

With new GL active you need to use the business function PSM_FM_REASSIGN (part of enhancement pack 5) to be able to reassign your invoices in funds management.

At least this is the case when you are using one of the FM dimensions as split indicator and you are updating the FM dimension(s) in the general ledger.

Without this business function you would not be able to update the split information and FM dimensions in the general ledger table.

Best regards

dimitri

Hi,

When you say that the reassignment for fund is not possible, what do you mean exactly? Normally, you can change the value of any activated FM element, including the one you mentioned, during the reassignment.

Regards,

Eli

Dear Dimitri,

thank you for your reaction. Your answer is what I was afraid of. I saw that the business function was available but it's a bit difficult to implement a new BF in our company. I hoped there was another way to reassign.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,
