entry too long in sales order basic value

Hi Experts,

I am placing the value 100cr in sales order basic price condition but i am getting the error entry to long.

Prateek -

This error is coming because of KBETR has a limitation to store value only upto 12 Characters and 2 Decimal places.12 characters is inclusive of ","  In Your case it is 13 Characters 1,000,000,000.00.

You have following option/Workaround for this problem:-

• Create a new unit of measure ,Let Say ZA using transaction CUNI. Make it a copy of Unit of Measure EA
• In material master ---Additional Data---Unit of measure, Maintain Following Entries

• Now Create Sales order with 50 Cr value and use new unit of measure, you will get desired value

Note - We are using concept of Numerator and Denominator over here.You can change this parameter as per your convenience in Material master.
