What is Inspection point and inspection lot and what is the relation of  inspection point and inspection lot

Hi,

Inspection lot means Total GR Qty is convert as inspection lot qty (system generates lot number).

Inspection point means system will creates inspection points(system generates number ) based on Qty/time based at the time of operation going on (in process inspection).

Hi,

The inspection points guide the system how the inspection to be done. Whether it is to be done on some Physical samples or Time based or Event Based or Freely defined etc etc.

If you select inspection point as 200 Physical Sample then system will give Physical Sample number against which you need to record the results.

If you select the Freely defined inspection point 150 then it will let you enter any text as inspection point identifier for the result recording.

Whenever you do GR, inspection lot will be generated for QM manage materials. Inspection lot contains qty., vendor name /  customer name , purchasing doc., material doc.,
