Hi ,
I have never done re-scheduling in sales order/deliveries.
1) can someone inform why it is required in both sales order and deliveries ?
2) What happens when re-scheduling is done in sales order/delivery ? is the original material availability date and requsted delivery date gets changed.
3) How do the system knows that re-scheduling is required ?
4) how it is different from back order processing ?

Dear Pamela This is very basic questions
First i will tell you what is Rescheduling , it means when ever some different type customers are there ex: X, Y,Z( Think here allready To x we orderd 100 qnt but now due to higher impartency CUSTOMER
Y so here we are Giving the stock to Y customer ) this is one example
here already Customer asked i want the stock on 25th but at the time of Delivery date we cant supply
the goods Now customer is agreed for another date
This is Rescheduling process , , in this process no extra setting needed just RUN T.code V_V2
How system knows? ,, when you create Sales order shedullines are not confirmed
Now coming to Back orders It means UNCONFIRMED ORDERS FOR CUSTOMERS
