Task (AXIS) Protocol with SAP Assertion Ticket for SOAP Sender instead of WS-RM with SAML

Dear Experts,

My existing scenario (non-SAP system using WS adapter with SAML ----->  PI 7.11 ----->  WS (R/3 system).

Here we are upgrading to PI 7.31 (Java stack) where i don't have an option for WS adapter using SAML certificates.

Here i assume by using Sender SOAP adapter with SAP assertion Tickets.

Since i found this option only when i select the Transport protocol : Task (Axis) and Authentication type : SAP Assertion Ticket under SOAP sender adapter.

I never used this option by using SOAP and couldn't find much details why and when we go for AXIS protocol in sdn also.

Hope you understand my concern, since can i go head with this option to use instead of WS-RM with SAML.
