Managed System Configuration:No Wily EM host specified

Hi,

I am getting the below error in the 8th step(configure automatically->Introscope Host adapter and Generate system level metrics) while performing the managed system configuration for the Solution manager. (Solution manager version 7.1 SP04; introscope version 9.1.0.0)

Enterprise manager is already installed on solution manager.

Configure CA Wily Introscope step in basic configuration is also successful.

Kindly help in solving the problem.

Hi Neha,

Also, you have to check the EM settings in the following locations:

1) Tx SOLMAN_WORKCENTER
    - Tab Root Cause Analysis
     - Diagnotics Setup
      - Managing System
       - Setup Wizard

In the step "Setup Parameters" you have to ensure that the EM host and port are correct. If you find any issue here, you have to correct it and rerun the "Setup Wizard" for the managing system.

2) Diagnostics Setup
    - Diagnostics System
     - Advanced Setup
      - Tab Wily & NWA:
       - Ensure that the EM host and RMI port are correctly  defined here. The default ports are 6001  RMI and 8081   Webview.

The connection status must be green for the configured EM. If the status is not green, then remove the entries and fill them again and click on the button "Save monitoring settings". Maybe you need to click on the button "Refresh" to update the status. Then redo the managed setup wizard.

3) Tx SOLMAN_SETUP
    - Basic Configuration
     - Step 5 Landscape Data
      - Wily Introscope Enterprise Managers

Also please have a look at SAP Note No. 1565954  Introscope 9 Release Notes

Hi,

I am getting error like " No communication user has been selected " and " No connection user yet defined. Run User Management and set a connection user with min. permission ‘Read' ", in solution manager 7.1 sp10 Basic > Configuration > 3. Configure CA Introscope.

Wily Introscope version - 9.1.5

I have selected connection user also with Admin user in User Management button

Could you please find the attached screenshot.

Thanks

hm! sometime even you maintain the user in user admin when you go back and check the data you maintained its not there. Try to maintain the user data again.

also whats the version of your java component LM-Service

i had the same problem. But after starting the EM i login with the Admin user into the webconsole. Then munutes later the guest user now accepted in User Management (button) in manager 7.1 sp10 Basic > Configuration > 3. Configure CA Introscope.

Strange!

PS: SAP Should go away from this JAVA EM stuff, it's ugly and cumbersome

Hi there,

It seems error is related to managed system, maybe you need to install host adapter on diagnostic agent of managed system !? please check that.

Have you executed step 3.1 "Configure CA Wily Introscope" of Basic Configuration? Please share the screenshot.

Just for your information If you want to use EM9, you will need to have at least patch 1 for SP04. Older versions are incompatible.

Hi,

We are having patch 4 for SP04. I have executed the step 3.1 "Configure CA Wily Introscope" of basic configuration.

Hi Neha

The EM host should be maintained for each managed SAP system during the managed SAP system configuration (through SOLMAN_SETUP) in step 5 Enter System Parameters.

Please check.

Best regards

Tom
