Hi,

Can you please download the file Vcredist_X86 using the below link and install it manually??

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29

Once done, please try to start the sapinst from the first and see whether it works.

Please check and provide your feedback.

Thanks and Regards,

Vimal

Hi,

Please install it using administrator user.. Just noticed  .. sorry

You shouldn't install it using sidadm user .

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Vimal,

<SID>adm is having the full administrator rights.

No other administrator user is there do i still need to run from another admin user.

Yes Sriram.

Even though you have administrator group assigned to sidadm, you should always install using administrator account only.

Please check with your  system administrator... Surely, every system will have an administrator account.

As you have already applied the vcredist installation manually you don't need to let sapinst do it again.

Remove the vcredist from the NTPATCH folder (move it to another folder temporarily)

Re-run sapinst, should go smoothly

Let me know the outcome!

Very well!

Worked for me too in the past, it's cheating, but in a way that is acceptable

Good luck!

You need to install as Administrator user not <SID>adm user.

Hi Sriram,

Error 1603 points to some kind of permissions issue ,check the below knowledge based article

1753595 - vcredist_x64.msi return code 1603

Also check the contents of the log file vcredist_x64.log

Thanks
