Cost Center and Purchasin Group

Hi Sap Gurus,

Can anyone explain me the relation between cost center and purchasing group.. and also what is the information we can get from T-Code BP in sap srm

Hi

As such there is no relationship between Cost Center and Purchasing Group.

Purchasing Group - Responsible Buyer

Cost Center - Cost accumulation from financial aspect

All entities in SRM will have corresponding BP's

BP will have the detail of that entity

For Example

User will have BP - BP will all sort of information of the user.

Hi,

There is no relation between Cost center & Purchasing group, as naveen mentioned you should mention your requirement more clearly.

Coming to purchasing group, they don't have any direct relation with any other organizational elements either in ECC or in SRM.

Purchasing groups will be helpful to control the specific functionality access via authorization objects.

For example, you can control SRM central confirmations authorization based on purchasing group via authorization object bbp_conf, also purchasing groups can be used as a filter in reports like SC's for p.grop, PO's relevant for specific pgroup etc...

In SRM cost center needs to be chosen as account assignment category in SC or PO and the same will be validated in ECC during placing the order.
