How can we retrieve unreleased Transport Request data after System Refresh

Former Member

Hi Friends,

During Pre-Steps of System Refresh activity we have copied RFC's destinations to a work bench request(SIDK900032) and released the request and later copied this Work bench request to Transport of copies(SIDK900034) but didnot release the request.

Now the refresh is completed and we have started Post refresh activity. Now we are unable to import the request as the request is not released ( no cofiles and data file to import)

Is there any possibility that we can retrieve the RFC data.

Thanks in Advance for your Help

Vijay

Hi Vijay

If you don't have co/datafile of any of the transport requests you had before your refresh then you won't be able to retrieve them.

A "local" workbench request for example would not write a co/datafile so you would have lost that request after the refresh.

If you did have a non-local workbench request with the RFC data in it which was released it would mean it got written to co/datafile then you can manually add that request to STMS. Go into the import queue in STMS and choose the menu option Extras --> Other requests --> Add and insert the transport request and confirm.

That would add the transport request to your STMS import queue and you can import the RFC destinations in your system again that way.

Best regards

Tom
