Who assign the work?
In what format Ur team lead will send to u?
How does u get the requirements?

It varies from client to client / organizations and also on the scope pf the project and the geogrpahy of locations.
Just as you can never say what an application developer will do in a project one cannot define the reoles of an XI consultant.
