Why did i lose points?

Former Member

Hello,

I had 12 points, and later wrote a document on how to fix an issue in SAP Advance Analysis, thereby gaining 10 points.

So, i had 22 points in total.

But now, after i logged out and logged in, i see only 10 points.

Why did i lose 12 points ?

Can someone help me get the lost points, back?

Cheers

Shiva

Discussed several times in this space, please search before posting:

10 = your new rolling 12 months total

22 = your new lifetime total (see your "reputation" tab)

Your 12 points were from February 2012 and before. At the very moment when the new 10 were added, there was a new calculation of the 12 months rolling total, making it look as if you lost points (which you didn't, considering your lifetime total).

It's quite easy to get confused by this logic, I've heard there will be some improvements coming.

P.S. as I'm less active now compared to one year ago, I'm "losing" points with each helpful reply...bummer

Thank You Thomas !

May i ask if there is a setting that always displays only lifetime total at the top, next to my name ?

I don't think so. Let's wait for the improvements, or maybe an insider can give more details.

No, there's no such setting. However, please have a look at this blog regarding upcoming changes to the reputation system: http://scn.sap.com/community/about/blog/2013/02/11/game-on-gamification-coming-to-sap-community-netw...
