Changing the Bid Approver

Hi ,

There are 2 issues reported related to the Bids . Kindly provide your valuable inputs :

1. Bids for a Person X need to be re-directed ( for approval ) to Person Y . How could this be done ? Do we have to modify the workflow or is there an alternative ?

2. All the Bids which are coming for approval to Person X needs to be re-directed to Person Y . How can this be achieved .

We are using SRM Version 5.0 . Unable to find the Substitution option in the URL . ( Can you mention the whole path )

I am unable to navigate and feel this be Hidden .

Hi,

In backed there is a transaction RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE, to setup a substitue via backend. You can setup for a user / position. All approval request work id's will be forwarded to the substitute.

Coming to setting up a substitute via SRM 5.0, approvers can setup a their substitute via ITS screen / EP portal screen.

When approver login inot SRM and sleect approval option from right hand slection option (Shop, Check status, Approval, GR/SE), approval popup scren shows the list of work items waiting for action, on the same screen right hand corner there is an optoion 'substitute'.

Where user can search for a substitute, and choose and setup a validity period (start & End dates)

Hi Govardhan ,

But I could see that there are just 2 substitution options available  ( Both in the Frontend and the backend ) : Professional covers functional tasks, Disciplinary HR-related tasks.

In our scenario , the User X only the BID Approvals going to him to be forwarded to the User Y .

Could you suggest how this could be achieved .

Hi Haridas,

Substitution process is for entire work items, object level control is not possible.
