Hi,
we have set up several monitoring objects (normal BPMon, not analystics) and they are working pretty fine.
The problem is that all alert records that have been generated so far (for every monitoring object) are being shown in the Alert Inbox. They are not being deleted despite we have assigned the "default" alert parameter set, with which the alert retention time should be 3 days. Even the retention time for the aggregated alert data is has been exceeded and the alert records are still there.
Thanks for any hints,
Gerald Brosch
Hi Gerald Brosch
Which SolMan version and SP level do you use ?
If your monitor is job monitoring, and SolMan 7.1, please apply Note 1733236.
If it is not the case, I recommend you to check whether reorganization job is correctly scheduled or not. If you cannot see following execution log in SM37, the problem is, required house keeping job is not scheduled.
During the Solution Manager setup, following job is scheduled. (more accurate, following job is defined in table DSWPJOB. And house keeping job kick required job, depending on the setting of DSWPJOB).
Program DSWP_BPM_REORGANISATION.
Job Name SM:REORG BPMON ALERTS

Hi Gerald
It sounds very new SolMan.
if the job is scheduled, it is very weird...
There is note 1801801. It has some fix, related to job alert...
If it is not a trouble some, I recommend to apply this note. But I am not so confident...
Probably you need to report the situation to SAP OSS.
If note 1801801 does not fix the situation, and you still face the issue, please create
SAP customer message (OSS message) under the component SV-SMG-MON-BPM.
Best Regards
