Hi Experts,

I am facing error in STMS, not able to release and import request.

I did the following testing:

Got to STMS-> Overview-> Select system-> check->Transport Directory  for Development and Quality system

Some time the status is green but  some time it show me  different error. Means that error is not stable

Error 1

RFC communications error with system/destinat

TMSADM@GCD.DOMAIN_GCD

Error when opening an RFC connection

Error 2

timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456#Timeout during connection setup (check that partner exists)

Error 3

This is tp version 372.04.70 (release 700, unicode enabled)

E-\\GCLDEV\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_GCD.PFL could not be opened.

EXIT

Error in \\GCLDEV\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_GCD.PFL: transdir not set.

tp returncode summary:

TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0

ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0208

Error 4

RFC error text: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'

Meaning of the error codes:

03 RFC system failure

04 RFC communication failure

But after some time when I check again , I found no error, after some again I found error

Steps that I performed

1 Reconfigured STMS  for Dev and Qas only but facing same issue again

2 run tp check all pf=<path>

3 Test RFC connection, all are working

4 Ping both the server

5 set DBMS_TYPE = MSS

Please suggest me your expert advice

Thanks,

Yogesh

hi Yogesh,

Please check the following.

  • Each server should have the entry of other system in Host File which is the part of Domain.
  • Check the Test connection of RFCs in SM59 and Test connection must be OK
  • Check the Transport Group under Goto STMS -> Overview -> Systems. Communication tab. It must be same on all server.

please check and let me know the result of above points

Hi Abdul,

Thanks for your reply

1. Host entry has been made in both of the server

2. I check the RFC connection all are working fine but in checking  TMSADM@GCT.DOMAIN_GCD and for quality , connection test is OK but got error in Authorization Test " User TMSADM has no RFC authorization for function group SYST.

3. In Transport Group , under DOMAIN_DEV tab , it has two groups

    GROUP_DEV  transport group DEV

    GROUP_QAS transport group QAS

means Two transport groups are there

Please suggest me now , what I have to do now.

Thanks,

Yogesh

hi Yogesh,

connection test is OK but got error in Authorization Test " User TMSADM has no RFC authorization for function group SYST.

Please check the Profile S_A.TMSADM it should be assigned to TMSADM. when you get the authorization issue then please check the status of SU53 and assign the object

please also check the below SAP Note.

Note 456677 - User TMSADM has no RFC authorization for function

Hi Yogesh,

1) Ensure network is stable between DEV and QAS

2) Share the SAP kernel level on your DEV and QAS.

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for your reply

1. I use ping command , and connection test is stable from both side

2. Kernel release is 700, sp level 221

Hi Yogesh,

I feel that your SAP installation is not done on Domain. All SAP users are local and leading to acess problems. So access to /sapmnt & /saploc share is creating problems.

Incase you installation is local, you may create different transport group for each of the SAP systems in the transport route. This will ensure it uses local TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL file rather than referring to TP_DOMAN_SID.PFL file from domain controller.

Hi Deepak,

All SAP system are on Domain. We are facing this issue 2 month before.

Some time after restarting the system , it works but now its not working anyhow.

my Question is should I go for Kernel Upgrade for the same

Thanks,

Yogesh
