Hello community,
at my customer we're running an AC 10.0 on SP9. We're interested in using de-centralized EAM with SP10 and want to know if both centralized and de-centralized firefighting is possible, or if they exclude each other.
Thank you very much!
Regards
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
Further to Kevin's comment above, You can choose to use either Centralized FireFighting or De-centralized FireFighting.
If you wish to upgrade to SP10 you will need to switch an EAM parameter config setting to de-centralized FireFighter capability, and must maintain some plug-in config settings on the target system. You will also need to make some slight authorization adjustments (Establish the FFID role in the target system and refer to this role name in the parameter on the GRC system and the Plug-in system)
More information can be found on the SP10 EAM Guide, 'Managing Emergency Access'
Hope this helps 🙂

Oliver:
Yes, when you utilize the DeCentralized model for EAM, you are able to execute a Firefight session from either the central SAP Access Control 10.0 instance or directly in the target system you wish to firefight in.
Thanks,
