Amazon EC2 Afaria SP1 - Changing the default AfariaDBA password for SQL Anywhere 12

Hi all,

With regards to the Afaria SP1 image in Amazon EC2:

1. Anyone knows what is the password set for the AfariaDBA user for SQL Anywhere 12?

2. If we are unable to know what is the default password set, does anyone had success when trying to change the password for AfariaDBA?

I tried the following command below based on http://frontline.sybase.com/support/resolutionDetails.aspx?KBID=2284

    setup1 -Maintenance -DatabasePassword="enjoySQL!2345"

and got the following error message in the silent.log file:

Message=An unexpected error occurred while attempting to communicate with the specified SQL Anywhere server and/or database.

Code = 0x80040e4d

(Not a native OS error)

ADO Code meaning = IDispatch error #3149

Source = SAOLEDB.12

Description = Invalid user ID or password

        Number      = 0x80040e4d

        Source      = SAOLEDB.12

SQLState    = 28000

        NativeError = -103

Seems like I must somehow be able to change the password for AfariaDBA user before actually running the setup1.exe.

Does anyone out there had any success with upgrading the Amazon EC2 Afaria SP1 image to SP2?

-Success in the sense after upgrade to SP2, you are able to enroll iOS and Android devices properly.

Any ideas on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Hello

The default user/password used to be dba/sql maybe it changed

Yes, dba/sql works!

Just curious, would you happen to know what is the default password for the afariaadmin service account windows user password in the Amazon Afaria SP1 image?
