Delete item position during SC approval

Dear Guru's,

We have a requirement to where the approver should be able to delete an item during approval.

Can any of you guide me in the direction where I can make the DELETE button available in the approval process if possible?

We are at SRM 7.01

I have tried to add DELETE_ITEM in table view /SAPSRM/V_MDA_IC without succes 😞

I have tried this already without success 😞

I also had a look at this note without success:
1361411 - disallow approver to delete items on a completion level

I have to remind you that it is NOT a completion step, but an approval step!

I have managed to allow changing other fields 🙂

Unable to understand why would you want to do that,

Nevertheless,Did you try the doc change badi and see if you can delete the item based on the who the approver is? I mean you will need to write a logic to find out when an approver should be able to delete which items of the given list of items.

Hi Naveen and others,

Let me give you an example why I want to do this.

If the manager get a SC with several items for approval, and he wants to approve the shopping cart except 1 item, he wants to delete that item and have the SC ordered instead of sending it back to the requester so he can delete it and send it out again for approval.

By letting the manager be able to delete items the process can be speeded up, that is why we want to allow managers to delete items during approval.
