Hi,
For Test case error message type SMDT :
1) I need to populate field 'categorization'. ( should this be done from SAP Web Client only ?)
2) I need to populate field 'Priority' with new values. (I have changed values in table: SCPRIO using SM30 and also have checked this using SPRO in "MAINTAIN PRIORITIES OF DATES" in area "Application Incident Management (Service Desk)" and area "Settings for Activities" )
The new values are NOT showing up after making the changes when creating new SMDT message.
We are using SAP Solution Manager 7.1
Thanks.,
Hello M.D,
To change categorization schema please read document https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000514562011E.PDF

Hi SAPFan!
Thanks for your input.
But for priority field, the changes suggested by you does not work here in SAP GUI. (I can still see default old values)
Instead I find the changes are affected/made in SAP WebUI.
What should I do to make same changes in SAP GUI?
SAP GUI:- (old values in priority still reflected)
SAP WebUI :-(new priority values as shown below...that I want in SAP GUI )
thanks.
Hello M. D.
It`s strange behaviour for me .
Please check using F1 and icon technical details which table stores priority list.
You can also check on Web UI side using this short keys http://scn.sap.com/people/david.birkenbach/blog/2012/08/31/usefull-shortkeys-in-itsm-webclient-ui

Hello Arslan,
Yes, I found it. Please perform following steps:
1) open a new SMDT error message. Click in the field region of 'Priority' and press F1
2) in the "Performance Assistant" window, select 'customizing'.
3) select 'continue w/o specifying project'
4) click on any (I double clicked on "Define Message Types for SAP Solution Manager")
5) execute it
6) double click on "SLF1 - Service Basis Message (ABA Message) "
7) click on 'priorities'
Now, you can enter the prioritiy values as needed. This should now reflect in every SMDT error message you create henceforth.
Let me know if this helps you.

Maxwel D'Mello.
Hi Maxwel,
I need to do the same configuration and I am following the steps as you have mentioned.
But, I am getting the 'customizing' option in 'performance assistance' as non-editable. Shall I go for the option 'Edit documentation' ?
Please can you suggest something on this?
I have been searching for the solution since a long time, and finally when i got it here on your post
I am facing this problem.
Regards,
Khushboo
