EP cannot access a Sharepont with Kerberos ON

Exoerts:

We try to configure a Sharepoint2010 as a WEBDAV repository for our EP701.

However,

1) if the Kerberos is turned ON, above repository returns an error: PROPFIND 401 unauthorized

2) if the Kerberos is turned OFF, above repository is working fine.

We have to keep Kerberos ON on Sharepoint, could you please tell how to fix it?

Points guaranteed.

Thanks a lot!

Have you setup User Mapping? I am no Sharepoint expert but I think the login method can be configured to fallback to basic authentication if Kerberos is unsuccesful. Obviously it is attempting to authenticate the user accessing the repository, which is the SAP Service user.

The attached Microsoft document discusses how to setup authentication for service accounts.

Samuli:

Yes, I did configure the default alias for the webdav system and mapped the user/passwd to the alias.

And it is working fine if we turn off the Kerberos on Sharepoint side: file/folder created at portal KM show up at Sharepoint side.

For your 1st link: I did follow every step in the 1st link. It's working if Kerberos is OFF at Sharepoint.

For your 2nd  link:  Our Sharepoint team says they did the right thing, no change should be made.

(here is our Sharepoint expert's comment:

I’m confident that our current configuration will work if you can work out the authentication using Kerberos. That is what you need to get SAP to help you will. There won’t be any changes made on the SharePoint side)

Please advise more on this.

Thanks a million.

See Andre Fischer's excellent document, especially the chapter on setting up SSO22KerbMap on IIS. Also see the attached discussion. You may also want to search for SSO22KerbMap here on SCN.
