Thereis no system ECC in our system landscape, our instance's name is CER and has been maintained in our system landscape.

Hi Roy,
Go to /n/smb/bbi>>goto>>Solution manager management select your solution id from dropdown box and create target system ECC with relavent RFC destination (usually same client rfc).
now start the implementation assistant.
hope this helps..

Hi Roy,
Please ensure that you have completed all the configuration mentioned in the BP guide http://help.sap.com/saap/sap_bp/BBLibrary/Documentation/C71_CRM701_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_XX.doc
Post this your activation should work fine.

Hi Terry,
Whenever you add the ERP systems with EHP's, an ECC instance will always add to it in SMSY. It's not that ERP and ECC are different, I would product is ERP, inside you will have ECC server.
Name ECC means, E - stands for Enterprise Resource Planning, C - central, C - component.
Best way to proceed is after adding systems in LMDB or SMSY, use landscape verification tool to verify whether the product instance are correctly assigned or not.

Thanks.
I solve it.
Basically the main problem was that I used the components (as described in oss note)
BP-ERP 606V5
BP-SOLBLD 70V8
The xml solution file, dowloaded from the SAP site was for a new components version.
Now the OSS note require this components :
BP-ERP 606V6
BP-SOLBLD 70V9
And now The system landscape (/n/smb/bbi then "Goto > System Landscape Maintenance".) is automatically created and the ECC system is present.
Before update the components I tried to add ECC system manually without RFC destination and it seemed to work.
