Hello,
I am trying to install Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 SR1 on Windows 2008/Oracle however I am facing an error about the installation export media during the Define Parameters step. The media I downloaded from the Marketplace are the ones indicated in the SAP media list document but still swpm looks for different export CD. Swpm looks for SAP:SOLMAN:7.0:EXPORT while what I have is SAP:SOLMAN:701SR1:EXPORT.
Below is the exact error:
"Found the label SAP:SOLMAN:701SR1:EXPORT(1/4):SAP EHP 1 SR1 for Solution Manager 7.0 Installation Export CD 1/4:CDxxxxxx_1 but need the label SAP:SOLMAN:7.0:EXPORT(1/4):*.*"
Here is the media list:
SWPM - 70SWPM10SP01_3-20009707.sar
51040438_1 - SAP SOLMAN 7.0 EHP1 SR1 Inst. Export 1
51040438_2 - SAP SOLMAN 7.0 EHP1 SR1 Inst. Export 2
51045180 - SAP SOLMAN 7.0 EHP1 SR1 Java based SW Comp.s for SWPM
51045220_6 - 720_EXT UC Kernel for SWPM - Windows Server on x64 64bit
51045220_8 - SL CONTROLLER 720 for SWPM
In swpm, below is how I navigated to solution manager installation:
SAP Installation Master > SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 Support Release 1 > SAP Systems > Oracle > Central System > Central System
Thanks in advance!
Best Regards,
Bryan
Bryan,
We have the exact same issue, were you able to resolve your issue ? It does look like SAP has changed the media on 2/11/2013
SAP Inst does not seem to like the Export DVD : 51040438
Here is what we are using :
70SWPM10SP01_3-20009707.sar - Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 SP 01 for NW 7.0x
51045180 - Java DVD for SWPM10
51045213 - SAP Kernel DVD for installation SWPM10
51045213_8 SL CONTROLLER 720 for SWPM
51040438_1 - Export 1 DVD
51040438_2 - Export 2 DVD
Do let us know if you have passed thru this issue.
Thanks,
Uday

My issue is now resolved.
Here is the instruction from SAP to resolve the issue:
- stop installation
- backup your packages.xml from your installation dir and
- Modify your packages.xml (refer to changes below)
- run again installation with continue option
packages.xml:
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (1/2)"
name="EXPORT1" label="SAP:SOLMAN:7.0:EXPORT(1/4):*:*"/>
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (1/2)"
name="EXPORT2" label="SAP:SOLMAN:7.0:EXPORT(2/4):*:*"/>
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (2/2)"
name="EXPORT3" label="SAP:SOLMAN:7.0:EXPORT(3/4):*:*"/>
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (2/2)"
name="EXPORT4" label="SAP:SOLMAN:7.0:EXPORT(4/4):*:*"/>
with:
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (1/2)"
name="EXPORT1" label="SAP:SOLMAN:701SR1:EXPORT(1/4):*:*"/>
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (1/2)"
name="EXPORT2" label="SAP:SOLMAN:701SR1:EXPORT(2/4):*:*"/>
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (2/2)"
name="EXPORT3" label="SAP:SOLMAN:701SR1:EXPORT(3/4):*:*"/>
<package mediaName="Installation Export SOLMAN 7.0 (2/2)"
name="EXPORT4" label="SAP:SOLMAN:701SR1:EXPORT(4/4):*:*"/>
I encountered the same type of error again during the SL Controller input part. So I just performed the above steps (modified packages.xml and changed the version of sl controller from "SAP:SAPLUP:700" to "SAP:SAPLUP:720") to resolve the issue.
BR,
Bryan
