Short Dump - SYNTAX_ERROR (CL_ITEM_TREE_CONTROL==========CP)

Hello,

I´m faced with a problem... during an activity of importing support packages in a SAP ECC 6.0 (kernel 720 level 90 with MS SQL Server on Windows Server 2003 X64) the system showed me a short dump, but the importing activity continued without problem because I analysed the log file and I realized that was running without stopped the import process. But now I can´t access the system, everytime I try to log in, it show me the same short dump:
Syntax error in program "CL_ITEM_TREE_CONTROL==========CP

I already restarted the sap system, but the same error is shown everytime I try to access the system.

I will post here the dev_disp and dev_w0 log files.

Can you help me how to solve this problem?

Hi,

  It seems to be some kernel incompatability issue.

As also I see that you are using 720 kernel with 90 patch.

Please try to upgrade your kernel version to latest and check whether your issue is fixed.

I recently faced the same issue. Afte rupgrading the kernel the issue got fixed.

Please try upgrading your kernel and check whether it resolves your issue.

Hello Vimal and Mahipal,

Thank you to try to help me!

Today, I done again all the tasks of upgrading kernel, I followed the sap note 1636252 (Installing a 7.20 kernel in SAP Web AS 7.00/7.01/7.10/7.11), and in this sap note I done all the checks! I did all the tasks for an activity of an upgrade kernel 720 in windows platform and during this process, I did the kernel update from the level 90 to 402 (latest kernel UC 720 for windows X64).

But unfortunatelly this not solved the main problem, when I try to accessing the sap system, it shown the same short dump and it´s the only thing that I can see in the sap system, everything I do in the system, it always shows the same error, the same short dump!

Therefore... I send attached to this message three files, dev_disp; dev_w0 and the short dump - Syntax_Error.... so, can you please check these files and tell me what is the problem here, and if there are solution for this problem!?

Hi Vimal,

The problem was solved... strange but true lol... after I restart the sap system and done the server reboot, I accessed to the system to client 000 and I continued the importing support package activity which was in stopped mode in the Import_Proper phase... then I continued, and I finished the importation without errors!

I believe this error was corrected by the things that I did before, all the adjusts during the kernel upgrade 720 (following the note 1636252) and of course the update of kernel 720 to the latest level (402)!
