SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR Never Ends

Hi Experts,

The Job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR an hourly job takes a really long time (more than 10000 seconds), The report runs fine but after the second execution fails, so on. I had to cancel the process manually.

The job is scheduled in client 000 with user DDIC. There is also sufficient WP for the execution.

My system details are:

Comp version :          ECC 6.0 EHP5 SPs 08

Database system:     SQL SERVER 09.00.3042

Operative System:     Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2

Kernel release :         720 level 327

SAP_BASIS:               SAPKB70211

Has anyone faced an issue with this job running slow. Please help us solve this issue.

As per SAP Note 16083 - Standard jobs, reorganization jobs, the SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR job always be scheduled in client 000 with user DDIC or with a user with the same authorization

also go through the SAP  Note 12103 - Contents of the TCOLL table

Please check whether the below note helps.

75158 - Retaining deadlock statistics longer than 7 days

As well as please check whether you got any dumps or system logs are generated.

If yes, please attach those too.

Hello,

Can you post the Workprocess logs & the TCOLL log which can be found in ( ST03 >'Expert' mode > Collector and Performance DB > Performance Monitor Collector > Log) for the job which hanged.

Please go to DB02 in

1.click on Sytem Configuration next

2.click on your data base system

3.clikck on default system button

Then execute the job again

Check system log (SM21) for messages related to job.

Does not exist any message related to the job. (SM21)
There are no any dump (ST22) in the system.
