What roles are needed for doing Alert Configuration?

Hello Guys

I have been using my colleagues account to create 'Alert Configuration' which involves transactions like 'ALRTCATDEF', 'SCOT'. etc.,


However, when I try to do it from my account I get a message that I don't have authorization to use these transaction.


I spoke to the basis guy and since he is new to this, he wants to know what roles do I need so that he can add them.

Could some one please let me know what roles are needed to access these transactions?

Your help will be highly appreciated.

HI Ram,

This role contains authorizations for alert management configuration.

  •   SAP_ALM_ADMINISTRATOR

    This role contains authorizations for all configuration and administration activities. An administrator who has been assigned this role can also read and confirm alerts for other users. In addition, the administrator is authorized to delete, escalate, and deliver alerts as well as to delete logs.

  •   SAP_BC_ALM_ALERT_USER

    This role contains authorizations for the sending of alerts via external communication methods (e-mail, SMS, fax) and for inbound processing.
