I am getting some issue during Basic configuration of SOLMAN 7 Ehp1. rightnow, I am stuck at below issue

Unable to reach SLD for creating JcoRFC destination

Hi,

Can you make sure that the SLD connection is configured in Visual Administrator >SLD Data Supplier.   Then you can continue with the configuration.

hi Mudasir,

The CIMClient Test run is failed in Visual Adminstrator.

System Landsacpe Directory
Failed to generate and test CIMOMClient Object

I checked the SLDDSUSER/Password on client 701 and put the same in VA but Test is not successful.

how can I resolve this issue.

Hello,

Can you check it as follows.

1. Make sure the SLD is up and running.

2.  User SLDDSUSER has proper authorizations and try again.

3. If it doesn't works then use J2EE_ADMIN instead and try again.

how can i assign the password&roles to SLDDUSER in http:/hostname:50000/sld

Hello,

Go to http:/hostname:<port>/useradmin -> Select user -> roles / Groups tabs  and assign the required authorizations to them.

I have given example of the authorizations of SLDDUSER in my system.

You can't convert it to green. It is log mesages only (in chronological order). Simply ignore them.

Testing HTTP connection to the SLD server...
An exception has occurred:
Exception in SLD client: AbapSLDRequestHandler.ping(): server connection *** failed **
Connection to SLD does not work

while SLDCHECK is working fine.

Hello Jamil,

Use tcode Rz70 on your Solman 001 client if it`s proper set. For more details read Jansi blog http://scn.sap.com/community/netweaver-administrator/blog/2011/02/23/how-to-push-abap-system-data-to... (search for rz70).

Hi,

Please check whether SLD is running.

please open the link http://<hostname of SLD server>:5<instance number>00/sld

Provide the login details and check the status.

If it is running. please check whether the user is locked or not.

Try also pinging to the server from your system and check whether it is resolving. If not, please maintian the host entry.

Testing RFC connection to the SLD java client...
RFC ping was successful
SLD destination settings:
  Alias:       SAP_CONFIG
  Host name:   SOLMAN
  Port number: 50000
  User:        SLDAPIUSER
Testing HTTP connection to the SLD server...
SLD ping was successful
Connection to SLD works correctly

FYI... I did make client copy from 001 to 701 and doing configuration on client 701. the user SLDAPIUSER is unlocked on client 701
