PO not blocked by QM system if PO item has Account Assignment Cat. M or X

Dear Gurus,

I am experiencing a peculiar problem and would like your help.

In our installation we have implemented QM in procurement with QM-inforecords and use the field Existing QM-system (QINF-QSSYSFAM) with a validity date (QINF-QSSYSDAT).

Furthermore, we have set the Expected QM system in the material master.

When I try to make a Normal PO for a combination of vendor/material where the Existing QM-system has a expired validity (date in the past) I get an Error message which is correct.

However, when we use customer-order functionality (PO account assignment category (KNTTP) = M or X) the warning/error is not issued and the PO can be made without block.

Is this standard SAP or am I missing some customising???

Hi Judith,

You can create(derive from 101) new movement type for GR against PO with account assignments M & X. where do the setting in QM tab for Deactivate Insp. lot creation.

Process the PO (with Acc. assgn. cat.M OR X) thru' newly derived movement type.

Pls. revert.
