Hi,
We have a production interface where we have observed that there are 3 different users used for NFS file creation in unix file system.
The naming convention for this xxxadm, and one of the user is <sid>adm which is correct.
Though the OS user creation which is used by PI is setup during installation activity, but this is a surprising phenomena, any idea where can it be checked.
Note that interface is working fine though.

Anirudh
Hi,
If the other users are not SAP Standard ones as you have mentioned then you need to contact Unix Administrator about the
You can check if the other users are part of 'sapsys' group. The SAP <sid>adm users are part this group. It can be checked in the file /etc/group.

Yes, I guess they are part of this group because the user names were something like
ap4adm <-- this is expected
ap3adm <-- old user name, should not be existing for our use
ap1adm <-- not expected
Since this is production system I don't think they would agree to remove these users.
But would SAP PI use any of the user in sapsys grp for file creation in local system?
Or is it that SAP PI looks for users ending with adm in sapsys group to create files?
Hello Anirudh,
To make it simple.
SAP PI will always use <sid>adm user to create files at OS level and no other users irrespective of its part of sapsys or not.
If you find files being created by any other user then it might be by some other application or someone is creating it manually.

Mudasir.
