where to keep external delivery no in sap delievry no ?

hi all ,

I want to keep an external identification number (3rd party no) in SAP delivery.

Currently i have thought of Ext. Delivery (LIKP-LIFEX field). but i am facing some problem in that. So apart from delievry text field ...is there any other filed where i can keep 20 field value.

My scenario:

I am using interface to create sales order ( keeping  3rd party sales order no in sales order PO (VBKD - BSTKD) no

Then again i am using interface to create delivery through BAPI . Now i need to keep 3rd party delivery no (Length:20) in sap delivery no .

So apart from delievry text where i can keep that no ?

You can use LIKP-TRAID. Its character length is also 20.

Hi,

I have a similar scenario where the delivery is created through a BAPI and the ext delivery number is placed in the Ext. Delivery field at the header level.

I am not facing any issues with it and it is working fine. Let me know what issue you are facing by using this field.

LIKP - BOLNR can also be used for this purpose.It has a length of 35 characters.
