Stop and start sap conten server.

Hello All.

I have some problem to see my document from Sap Content server on ERP in this week.

When I try to edit my *.pdf file I get This massage : File C: \ _ODA01.pdf can not be created.

I want to rester Conten server. My question is if I can  do that by reboot the operating system.

You can also use the following commands to stop and re-start the content server (all commands are entered in a DOS window):

• net stop w3svc: ends the Web service This command stops all websites that are set up on your server.
• net start w3svc: Re-activates the webservices.

Hi and thanks for help,

After rester I have still the same error,

I have This error from log file:

Error in HTTP Access: IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RECEIVE 1 ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED.

Any idea?

Hi Ejersbo,

Since you have rebooted your server please check whether Content Server is running in IIS->Webservices.

If not start it. Later you need to check whether MaxdB database installed to stored documents is up and running. This can be checked using MaxDB studio manager. If the database is not running please start it.

Later you can check the connection using csadmin transaction code.

Yes I did, I have this problem is startet for some dag ago.

Hi Ejersbo,

In tcode CSADMIN - > Settings tab,

You need to set the parameter security =0

Post this http error should go.

Yes Conten server is runing and I did  check the connection using csadmin transaction code, that working.

Hi Ejersbo,

Where is your content server installed ? Windows / unix ?

In case it is windows, you can simply reboot the server , services will get restarted

Else you may right click on My Computer -> Manage > IIS -> Web services >Content Server.

Right click content server and then you may start and stop this service.
