Difference Indicator

In IMG a warehouse number for eg: 012 has difference indicators 1 2 and 3. Consider indicator 1 for a moment here, how will i know if the picker has not found the target quantity. Can i see the actual and the target quantity anywhere ? As per my observation while doing collective confirmation of transfer order--> after entering the group number, the options are ''confirm in foreground" then it asks me to enter actual and difference quantity.This is where i get stuck. How do i know the actual and the target quantity.

Do i do ''Conform remaining items'' in case i have the actual and difference quantity

You know by seeing the scanning results, for which I suppose is outside of SAP.  Most companies usually use some kind of RF or special scanning functions (LM00) to do this function.
