Hello all,

Iam getting "load xml malformed xml error - a document must contain exactly one root element" when trying to open any programs.

Please help.

I have resolved it on my own.

Go to the below path.

C:\Documents and Settings\Your User ID\Application Data\SAP\SAP GUI

Rename the folder ABAP Editor to something else(ABAP Editor1, this folder holds the settings for the ABAP editors) and Log off from the SAP.

On logging in again a new folder with the same name will be created and the editors will start working fine.

If the SAP Gui is installed in the local system, this is the path.

C:\Users\<your user id>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\SAP GUI

Note that the AppData folder will be hidden, you need to unhide the folder by going into control panel of your system
