Hi Avadhesh,

Refer SAP Note

706478 Preventing Basis tables from increasing considerably

It has details on housekeeping for each of the basis tables.

Hi Avadhesh,

The SAP note has details on controlling basis tables. But your case does not fit into this.

Could you share the size of the tables listed below.

JCDS

TADIR

TRDIR

ADRC

DWTREE

DDNTF

DD02L

/BIC/AZNOREC0200

Also let us know your system type viz ECC or BI ?

Good Day

"increasing Significantly" means preventing them from growing further or controlling its growth.

Maybe you meant to reduce the present size of these tables which is attained through a table reorg

Tables like TADIR, TRDIR, DWTREE, DDNTF, DD02L are very important to the ABAP.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c4/3a6def505211d189550000e829fbbd/content.htm

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/en/57/38e06c4eb711d182bf0000e829fbfe/content.htm

Unfortunately there is no best practice for archiving / deleting the data from these tables and there are no housekeeping jobs to take care of this.

If your need is to reduce the size of the database especially these tables then you might consider doing a reorg of the database.

Cheers
