Custom proerties and Allow users to edit LOV

Hi All,

In IDT, there is an option "Custom Properties" in Object Properties of Business layer objects. I just want to know how and where can we use it?

And what is the use of "Allow users to edit list of values"? The document says it allows users to edit LOV but where and how user can edit LOV?

In BO XI 3.1, the user was able to edit LOV in DeskI but in 4.0 DeskI is not used.

IDT prompts/parameters can be based on text files, queries (as well as other list-generation types), might it be related to those?
