SAP-JEE, SAP_JTECHS, SAP_BUILDT missing after upgrade to NW 7.31 SPS 05

Hi Experts.

We have recently upgraded Netweaver 7.0 to 7.31 SPS 05.

At the time of creation of track for NWDI, earlier for 7.0, SAP-JEE, SAP_BUILDT, SAP_TECHS components are included in the track,

but now we are only finding SAP_BUILDT for the new release 7.31.

Is the remaining 2 component files went missing or they are not present in the new Version?

Please let me know from where can i check if the files are present.

If not, From where i can download them for 7.31 SPS 05 and where to put it in?

Files:

SAP-JEE

SAP_TECHS

SAP_BUILDT

Please help as this is really urgent for me to resolve the issue.

Hi Abishek,

there are no SCs as of 710 like SAP-JEE or JTECHS, but you need to build your track according to this note:

1572743 - Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in 7.31 Track

It says:

Web Dynpro

• COMP_BUILDT

• ECM-CORE

• ENGFACADE

• ENGINEAPI

• ESCONF_BUILDT

• ESF

• FRAMEWORK

• MOIN_BUILDT

• SAP_BUILDT

• WD-RUNTIME

Hi Abishek,

if you intend to do only simple webdynpro development, then I believe the following SCs will also do the trick, these are the minimum required SCs for a simple webdynpro development (like sapbuildt, jee and jtechs in 700 development):

• ENGFACADE
• FRAMEWORK
• SAP_BUILDT
• WD-RUNTIME

Hi Ervin,

We are not able to find any "ESF" Component for 7.31.

Can you suggest where can i find that if you have access to the server.

Other then that we are creating a track except including the ESF file.

i think it will work.

Hi,

I am not able to find it either when it comes to 730 or 731. In 710, 711 and 720 it is there.

Perhaps the note is a victim of wrong copy-paste job.

I would suggest to remove ESF from the track configuration, and once everything is imported check if you face broken DCs or not. If not, then I think we are good.

I will clarify in the meantime if the notes for 730 and 731 has to be corrected.

Hi,

yeah, I think it is perhaps just a mistake in the note.

So far ESF was always under Composition Application, but 730 is not a CE any more, so I think this is not required for development.

Anyway, I wrote to the corresponding colleagues and if necessary we will update the note as well.
