LT01 Putaway Strategy K

Hi everybody,

I have set 03-03-30 Fixed Storage Bin at material master (Warehouse Management 2 View).

I have created a transfer order from 700 to 710 the system proposes the Storage Bin 02-02-99, but the nearest Storage Bin to 03-03-30 is the 03-03-03 one.

As we can see, the 03-03-03 storage bin is not full (10% utilization)

What should I do in customizing in order to make system proposes the nearest Storage Bin?

Hi,

Generally,
bin determination takes place on sort sequence. Also, you can impliment user exists (

• MWMTO003 Own strategy )

for this scenario.

I guess its happening because the 03-03-03 bin is not empty.

Anyone of you could tell me if K strategy just look for empty bins?

Hi,

Besides user exit is not possible for K strategy. It is possible just for "", B, L and P ones.

Hi,

how have you defined the storage type control for the strategy near fixed bin? And the structure is... the fixed bin is 03-03-30? I am not very experienced with this strategy, but I think we would expect rather a 01 for the level. Not sure what the system makes out of that.
