I agree with Roman N - revert back to the old kernel, as follows:

1. stop SAP

2. stop the Windows services for SAP - SAPService<SID> - etc

3. copy the old kernel back

4. restart the services

5. restart SAP.

Hello Michael,

Can you check and apply the  note recommendations  if it is applicable to your support package level.

What is the reason for updating kernel? Why you decide to use SAP KERNEL 7.38 64-BIT if you even doesn't know installed version of kernel? Revert back to old kernel first.

Roman

reason was simple enough. It was necessary to install CTS_PLUG200, which required updating r3trans and tp. Normal update these parts reached for an update to the core.
By the way originally stood core 720. An attempt to update the kernel to 721 versions failed for legal reasons - when starting the GUI component Sitsko gave incompatibility core 721 and the system.

Hi Michael,

Which version for your ECC system?

Which version of your original kernel(before update kernel)?

Please update.

You don't need to use SAP kernel 738. Just patch you current SAP kernel 720 release to latest SP level.

Hi

Do you have just one application server or many? Did you stop all the application servers and apply the kernel to each one?  Did you stop the Windows services before replainc the kernel?

Graham
