FTP Action blocks -Clarification needed

Hi all,

I know FTP action blocks can be used to transfer file from one machine to other.

i have requirement to transfer Bank payment file using MII?

1]Can FTP be used for same ?

2] does FTP addresses security concerns as it is a bank file security is very important?

Please guide.

We will be using SAP NW 7.3 and SAP MII 12.2 SP5
