Export to Excel 2007 in 4.6C or ECC5

Hello Guys,

I am trying to export an ALV Grid (directly or via saving file) to an Excel 2007 format.

I have found note  1080608 in which I understand that this is only available from release 6.4 but in note 1429136 it explains how to have more than 65k rows when exporting to Excel 2007 and this is starting from release 4.6C.

Question is : is it possible to export in Excel2007 format in release 4.6C.

We are using sapgui 7.20 with SP9.

Hello Manuel,

For Office 2007 export, you need at least SAPKB46C57,but SAPKB46C59 is recommened in order

to use all the corrections to enable you to use Office 2007

Thanks ! 

However I was looking at the ECC5 on which we have the problem also and the version is 640 level 24.

I guess we should be able to export to Excel 2007 right ? but the files are always in 2003 version ?

Hello Manuel.

You will need at least SAPKB64027,and at least 7.20 gui to impliment this.

Note that you will not be generating a true .xlsx file, since Microsoft don't share the code

with anyone,but it's simply a tab delimited file that can be opened with excel.exe.

This has always been the case.
