Hi Experts,

For the transactions from PI to AII take place, what kind of RFC destination must I configure ?

for eg, for AIDMATMAS to pass from PI to AII, and access the proxy MaterialIn what type of RFC connection is to be used ?

Thankz in advance
Anish

Hi,

for IDOC - RFC type 3 - or IDOC adapter on java stack (if you have >= 7.30)

for proxy - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/85/78af1bf407434796aaf8dbd6d4e7b7/content.htm

Hi Anish,

Setting Up RFC Connections

...

1.      In Customizing for Auto-ID Infrastructure, choose Basic Settings ® Integration ® Create RFC Connections (transaction code SM59).

2.      To set up RFC connections for the SAP Web Services ALE_OUT and SAPWS_CMD_OUT, choose Create and enter the following data:

Field Name

Field Value

RFC Destination

ALE_OUT / SAPWS_CMD_OUT

Connection Type

HTTP Connection to External Server (G)

Description

ALE_OUT for ALE command channel / SAPWS_CMD_OUT for SAP WS command channel

Target Host

<Your target host>

Service No.

<Your service number>

Path Prefix

<Your path prefix>

This RFC connection can be used to communicate with an ALE device controller or an SAP WS device controller on the command channel.

3.      Save your entries and test the connection.

4.      To set up RFC connections for the following SAP Web Services, enter the following data:

○     NOTIFY_TAGS_OUT

○     NOTIFY_EXTENSION_OUT

○     NOTIFY_ERROR_OUT

○     GET_NBR_OUT

○     STATUS_PING_OUT

These RFC connections are used by the Auto-ID Test Tool and for device subscription.

Field Name

Field Value

RFC Destination

<SAP Web Service>

Connection Type

HTTP Connection to ABAP System (H)

Description

<Your description>

Target Host

<SAP AII host>

Service No.

<SAP AII service number>

Path Prefix

  • <You can find the path prefixes in transaction SICF, by choosing default_host SAP ®®STATUS_PING_OUT is /sap/scm/AINWS/STATUS_PING_IN.>

5.      Finally, on the Logon & Security tab page, enter the client of your SAP AII system.
