Clock syncronizing for AS ABAP and AS JAVA

Hi,

I am facing some problem in SSO.(connectivity between BI ABAP and BI JAVA )I run the service support desk tool it is showing me the error that the clocks are not synchronized .

After having a conversation with OS team ,clocks are now synchronized ( checked from OS level by issuing the date -u command).

But when we run the service support desk tool its still showing the same error.

The system clocks of your WebAS Java and WebAS ABAP system are not synchronized. This will lead to issues with SSO tickets. The current time on WebAS Java is '8:19:07 AM' (UTC) while the current time on WebAS ABAP is '8:23:23 AM' (UTC)

System configuration:

OS HPUX 11.31

database: Oracle 11g

BI ABAP and BI JAVA :SAP Netweaver 7.02.

Note BI ABAP & BI java are installed on same DB host with MCOD option.

Dear Basis Gurus, does it really need a application restart to get reflected the changed time?

Regards

Sunny Dhama
