Posting UD in VMENGE09 in QA32 T.code

Hi all,

As per the user expectation in the User decision, the stock posting for the Shortage Received should generate 122 movement type in back end as like posting in the Returns Delivery.We made the configuration change in Define inventory posting screen that assign the 122 movement type for the Posting UD in the field VMENGE09 (The standard movement type assigned is 350) as copy of field VMENGE07.

When we check the stock posting for the Shortage Received in User decision, the system displays the error message "

Special Stock E not supported (check your entry) Message no. M7146 ".

But when we posted the stock in the Returns Delivery, system accepting and generate the material document for the movement type 122.

Where the configuration we missed. Kindly highlight to resolve the issue.

Yes. As per client's requirement shortage received is treated as same like return delivery to vendor.

What do you mean by Shortage Received??

Dear Mahesh,

In QA32 Transaction, under Inspection lot stock tab there is a field "shortage received". During QC when the QA finds there is a shortage in quantity received, it is entered in "shortage received" field for which mvmt type 350 is assigned.

As per clients requirement 122 mvmt type is assigned to shortage received field thru Define Inventory Positngs from SPRO

After assigning the mvmt type 122 when tried to make entry in shortage received field thru QA32 transaction and clicked on save option, system is giving the error message "

Special Stock E not supported (check your entry) Message no. M7146 "

Where as mvmt type 122 is assigned to Returns Delivery field which is working fine when entry is made in Returns delivery field thru QA32 transaction.

Want to know why the mvmt type 122 is not getting determined for Shortage received in QA32 transaction.

Please help as it is very important.

Out of total qty received, 122 movement type will make the return delivery to the vendor.

But Is Shortage Received same like Return Delivery to vendor??
