Archiving Spool request

Hi Gurus,

please guide  to setup archiving of spool request, If you provide the overview of the steps to perform would be also helpful.

I didnt found sap notes on this. So, please help to setup this.

Hi,

You may follow the regular housekeeping jobs as mentioned by other guys in the thread to maintain the size of Temse table.

Another alternative is to store the spool data at OS level instead of database. When G is specified for the rspo/store_location parameter, spool requests are stored at OS level in the SAP global directory. The strength of this approach is that it ensures that the system is faster and performs better. The downside of this approach is that backup and restore operation is performed independent of the databases at OS level.

Additionally you may look into 3rd party solution as mentioned in the link below for archiving spool requests.

Hello Rabi,

Do you want to archive or reorg the spool requests? Usually after a retention time, you can remove those spool requests.
