Log version status does not change

Former Member

Hi,

For a synchronous scenario, I'm getting the status as 'Log Version' in sxmb_moni and the status doesnot change at all. Can you please let me know the reason for this and how the message status can be changed to successful.

Thanks

Sreenivas

HI,

This already explained in above note please do accordingly..

See below..

Symptom

Synchronous messages with message status 001 were made persistent in the database. This can occur, for example, when synchronous messages are being logged. These messages are not deleted by the Delete job.

Other terms

Delete, synchronous messages, message status

Reason and Prerequisites

You use the SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure.

Solution

Implement the attached correction instructions or import the Support Package listed below.

See the note.. for more details..

Note 930181 - Deletion of synchronous messages with message status 001.

Also see the note

Note 820149 - Deletion of manually changed and terminated messages

Hi Sreenivas,

if you are using :

<b>XI 3.0 SP level < SP17

XI 7.0 SP level < 8</b>

then the solution appears to be to upgrade or implement the CSS note :-

<b>#930181 Deletion of synchronous messages with message status 001</b>

Hi Sreenivas,

if you are on XI 3.0 SP16 then I suggest that you apply the note (<b>930181</b>).

The issue may only have started since logging for synchronous messages was turned on.

You can check this in

<b>TCODE</b>

SXMB_ADM

-> Integration Engine Configuration

-> Specific Configuration

There will be an entry for

<b> RUNTIME LOGGING_SYNC 1</b>

Check the <i>'Time of Last Change'</i> field to find out when logging for synchronous messages was turned on.

Of course if logging for synchronous messages is not required then this can be deactivated.

Hi Sreeram,

It showed up the log version status for four different pipeline steps

1. Inbound Message

2.Receiver Identification

3. Interface Determination

4. Message Branch According to Receiver List

I want this message to get processed successfully. All the messages received for this scenario are not getting processed successfully. One week back this scenario was working fine.... suddenly this is not getting processed successfully.

Please help me in this.

Thanks

Sreenivas

Hi Srenivaas,

can you check the status of your target system - as you have a sync scenario... so see if there is some error in your target system, because of which your msgs are getting queued up and not getting processed successfully.......

Hi Rajeev,

The target system is R/3... I have checked. It is not hitting the R/3 system at all.

It has gone through the following steps in sxmb_moni and did not moved further.

1. Inbound Message

2.Receiver Identification

3. Interface Determination

4. Message Branch According to Receiver List

Hi Sreenivas,

go to SXI_CACHE.....do a cache refresh......see the cache status should be green now.......

then go to SXMB_MONI and now restart your msg......see now your msgs should be successfully processed......

Thanks,

Rajeev,

I have refreshed the cache and tried restarting... it says restart not allowed for the message.

Sreeram,

There is no error shown in sxmb_moni. The message has not gone through the entire pipeline.

Thanks

Hi Sreenivas,

just take the incoming msg payload.....put it in interface mapping test tab in IR....see if your interface mapping is working properly......just check whether the msg interfaces of target system are latest in your interface mapping.......i think your interface mapping has been changed now in IR......

Thanks,

Rajeev Gupta
