DR server for windows

Hello All,

I have my production system running on Windows 2008 R2 with Databae MS SQL srver 2008 r2.

We have a DR site as well in another datacenter hosting a stanby Database via log shipping from production.

We dont want to use MSCS . I want to use this secondary server site as a DR site without using MSCS which can provide a DR site for SA services as well.

Do we have a solution for ths setup ?

This is possible in MSSQL. I would suggest you to check SAP note 965908.

Mirroring would be another method to safeguard the database by having a hot standby.

I am concerned about restoring SAP services and SAP related files.

In case your Primary system goes down completely then you can start the standby database (either established via mirroring or via log shipping) however how would we restore SAP services?

Hi,

When you will install SAP system on standby node then all SAP Service will be automatically there. Which SAP services are your discussing about?
