Greetings to all,
I have a question regarding creating transports on a Normal Change in 7.1 SP5. We have defined an Implementation Project with multiple landscapes/logical components (example ECC, CRM, BW). When we create a new Request For Change (ZMCR), we select this project and select one of the components (say ECC) in the Change Request Scope for a Normal Change (ZMMJ). The Request For Change is approved and released for development and the Normal Change is created. After setting the Normal Change to In Development, we can create a transport in the Transport Management assignment block. But the selection of components to create the transport for is all those available in the project (ECC, CRM and BW) not just the one selected for the Normal Change in the Change Request Scope (ECC). Thus, the Normal Change displays in the Details the selected Project and selected IBase Component from the Request For Change but the available components for a new transport can be any defined on the project.
Is this how a Normal Change's transports is supposed to work? Should the available component for a transport be limited by the selected component of the Normal Change or ignore the selected component and use the project to determine available components?
Thanks,
Paul Maraijko
