Analysis for Office: change system connection in workbook

Hi,

We are on SAP BO 4.0 SP04 and Analysis for Office 1.3.

Before in Bex Analyzer, we could open an workbook and connect and disconnect to our dev system and connect and disconnect to our production system using the same workbook (when the same query is available in the both systems).

How is this functionality possible in Analysis for Office? It seems once i have created a workbook on a query in our dev system, i can not disconnect and connect this workbook to the query in the prod system ?

Kind regards,

Guy Verschueren

Hi,

you can change a datasource from within the design panel, in the components tab. Here a screenshot for reference, you have to click on the marked red squares:

Is this really the only way?

Imagine normal situation: you have 6-12 different queries and you go manually change each one of them ? Makes absolutely no sence. In Bex Analyzer you could change ALL the queries simultaneously from the connect icon:

You can follow the normal process of transporting a workbook also.

We also have the same question.   According to the document we've been reading, the voyager connection can be changed by LCM while transporting the workbook from dev -> qa -> prod.  However, if you are connecting client side to the BW, we don't see a way to change the connection.   Has anyone found a way to do this?
